The department of Community Oncology was set up in the institution with aim of reducing the incidence, morbidity and mortality related to cancer in the population.
The department functions with the objectives to detect cancer and pre cancer conditions as early as possible, to raise public awareness regarding prevention and control of cancer and thereby reduce the burden of the disease in the population.
